Spring water marble nail art

It’s a water marble day!  Of all the different styles of nail art, this one has the most impact in my opinion.  There is a reason that we don’t do these everyday.  They’re fun, don’t get me wrong!  But, they’re time consuming, easy to mess up and messy to clean up.  Sounds kind like the way I would describe a puppy 😉

So, what makes this specifically a spring water marble nail art?  Two things… 1, I just really need spring!  I’m craving it!  2, I picked colors that are transitional.  You’ve got some green (always springy) as well as some gray and pink.

I started with a white base.  That’s always the best way to make a water marble pop. Then I used the following colors:

Barielle Topless in St Tropez (pink)

Barielle My City Apartment (gray)

Ulta Stampede of Approval (beige)

China Glaze Agro (green)

I’m throwing in a fun pic of the water before I dove in… I love that part!

Have you done a water marble lately?  Do you have a favorite style of nail art?

These look good! I’ve only tried water marbling once and it turned out okay. I really should give it another try sometime.

You made a number of good points there. I did a search on the issue and found a good number of folks will agree with your blog.
