Mermaid Glitter Nail Gradient Tutorial

Challenge day!  And, a very exciting debut of my first nail gradient tutorial video!  I can’t believe I finally did it and I really hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I give mad props to the people who do these videos all the time.  They’re tricky!  I’m sure it’s easier once you’ve done it a few times, but getting everything set up just right and keeping your hand in the shot… especially for a clumsy person like me… is not ‘natural’. Without further adieu… my nail gradient tutorial!

The theme today is ‘not worn enough’.  I took that to heart and pulled out 4 polishes I haven’t touched forever.  Oddly enough, I also haven’t done a gradient forever, so it seemed like a good time to combine the two.I started with a base of China Glaze Sweet Hook.  I used that base with Kleancolor Pastel Purple and Finger Paints Cupcake Heaven to create the gradient.  The glitter topper is Orly Mermaid Tale.

I also used my Ellagee Lickity Split Latex Mani Mask which is uh-mazing for making cleanup quick and easy.  If you haven’t tried it, you really are missing out.  The speed it adds to getting on with your day is epic!

Here’s a macro just for some glittery goodness 😉
