Glue vs OPI Glitter Off vs Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel

By  |
I haven’t done a quickie comparison for a long time and this felt like a perfect opportunity!  I know many of us have been super curious about all the different peel off options out there.  I have definitely read review after review.  So, I did my own quickie comparison of the top 3!
One thing to note right off the bat… when I do one regular coat, none of them peel off in a sheet.  You can chisel them off in little bits with an orange stick or a finger nail, but not a nice peel.  I really need two generous coats to peel efficiently. Also, if you moisturize your hands before applying, it peels of much easier.  Very handy for swatching 😉
Elmer’s Glue…. kinda smells like glue 😉
OPI Glitter Off…. doesn’t really smell at all
Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel… smells like nail polish
Drying Time:
Elmer’s Glue…. slow
OPI Glitter Off…. medium
Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel… fast
Elmer’s Glue…. Not so hot
OPI Glitter Off…. Good for a day, but you will get fast tip wear
Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel… Good for a day, but you will get tip wear
Removal: (if you apply generously)
Elmer’s Glue…. Easy
OPI Glitter Off…. Easy
Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel… Easy
Elmer’s Glue…. crazy cheap!  99 cents
OPI Glitter Off…. $9 at my local Ulta
Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter A-Peel… $8 + $3 for shipping = $11 on Etsy
My personal conclusion is if you’re looking to do swatches, just stick with glue.  If you want a day with some fun polish both OPI and Nail Pattern Boldness should work just fine for you as long as you’re not folding hot clothes (melting) doing tons of dishes (peeling) or grocery shopping (plastic bags suck off the polish like velcro).
