What cuticle oil is always on my desk?

Cuticle oil… it’s a staple.  It’s one of those things that you can’t live without once you start photographing your nails. Camera’s are evil creatures that find dry cuticle snags that your naked eye never sees.  I always thought my cuticles looked just fine ‘thank you very much’ until my camera decided to tell me otherwise.  So now… there is always cuticle oil on my desk.

I grab it all day long, so I’m not sure I could say how many times a day I use it.  If I’m on a conference call, I grab it and swipe it across my nails.  If I’m reading an article, I swipe.  If I’m trying to collect my thoughts, I swipe.  It has just become one of those habits that I don’t even really think about anymore.

Why is CND Solar Oil the one that lives on my desk? Lots of reasons.  First of all, you can find it anywhere.  Every store seems to carry it so I never have to hunt.  It’s infused with jojoba and vitamin E to keep my nails strong and conditioned all at the same time. It is an oil, so of course when you first apply it it’s… um… oily!  But, once you rub it in you won’t notice any greasiness at all.

Do you have a ‘go to’ cuticle oil that always sits on your desk? I’d love to know!

Solar Oil was the one I started with also. I love it, how it soaks in and especially loved the smell. However, it was so expensive and I went through it so fast, I decided to make my own cuticle oil. I found a recipe online that I liked and made it, incorporating almond scent also. I use this, along with Lemon Flutter throughout the day.

I’m a coupon girl… always got a coupon for these types of things 😉 I love that you have your own recipe!
